Terms of Service

See also our Privacy Policy.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using DupeInvoice ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
DupeInvoice is a web-based tool that detects duplicate invoices. You upload PDF invoices, and the Service extracts text data, parses invoice fields, and identifies potential duplicates using multiple detection methods (content hash, field matching, and file fingerprinting). PDF files are processed in memory and not stored.
3. Accounts
You must provide a valid email address to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must not share your account with others or allow unauthorized access.
4. Free and Paid Plans
The Service offers a free tier with usage limits and paid plans with higher limits. Free accounts are available indefinitely with no credit card required. Paid subscriptions are billed monthly through Stripe. You can cancel your subscription at any time through the billing portal — cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Upload files that contain malware or malicious content
- Attempt to access other users' data or workspaces
- Use the Service to process illegal or fraudulent documents
- Circumvent rate limits, quotas, or security measures
- Use automated tools to scrape or overload the Service
6. Data Ownership
You retain all rights to the documents you upload and the data extracted from them. We claim no ownership over your invoice data. You can export your data as CSV or delete it at any time.
7. Accuracy Disclaimer
Duplicate detection is provided as an advisory tool. The Service uses automated text extraction and pattern matching, which may produce false positives or miss actual duplicates. You are responsible for verifying results before taking action. DupeInvoice is not a substitute for professional accounting review.
8. Limitation of Liability
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. DupeInvoice shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the Service, including but not limited to financial losses from undetected duplicate payments.
9. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time, which will permanently remove all associated data.
10. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance. We will notify users of material changes via email or in-app notice.
